As part of The Driving Factor tour, "The Money Tree", which explores the complex history of electricity as a commodity, I produced a radio show in collaboration with journalists from Manono, Tanganyika, DRC. The show was later integrated into the tour and broadcast in a field adjacent to the new Tesla battery factory near Berlin.

Tour participants gathered beside the factory’s substation to listen to the broadcast, creating a powerful juxtaposition between global energy infrastructure and its local impacts. Presented by Ben Robinson, Eric Mutumbo, and Esther Muntwabene, the program blends reportage with a listener call-in format. Together, they explore daily life in Manono and the hopes and challenges sparked by the region’s newly discovered lithium deposit.
