This project explores the history and current developments of digital publishing, creating a conversation about the impact of this on society and culture. It looks at current issues relating to the high street, with a focus on empty shops. The journey is documented through a print publication and a website, including interviews and photographs from people involved in retail and graphic design as well as an essay about enabling participation in design.
During the final year, I researched environmental typography and experimented with letterforms and type as image. I designed a set of prints based on personal responses with hand drawn type.
